    MORNING GLORY ART FAIR

    Aug. 13 &  14th, 2022  |  10 AM - 5 PM 

    Downtown Milwaukee's Deer District

    Named one of the top art fairs in the Midwest, Milwaukee’s free and fine juried art and craft show and sale brings together 130+ outstanding artists from around the country. This will be the third year at our new location – the lively Fiserv Forum Deer District, which has been designed for maximum visibility of artists and audience flow. The Morning Glory Art Fair showcases art to wear and art for the home in ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, painting, mixed media, photography, wood and more.

    The MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour is a self-guided tour showcasing Wisconsin Craft members. Last year, fifteen studio locations featured the work of 42 artists. 

    Applications are now open for all WI Craft Artist members. Applications are due by April 30, 2022. The number of Studio Locations and number of guest artist will depend on how many 'Host' Arts Studio's in MKE County apply for the Tour.

    The event takes place on October 1 & 2, 2022. 

    If your studio is located in Milwaukee County and would like to participate as a "Host Artist” Tour Stop, please fill out the “Host” Section of the Application. If you live outside MKE County, or do not want to open your studio to the public but still be a part of the tour, please fill out the “Guest Artist” application on the Form.

    Panel discussion will cover topics such as: "questions to ask your tax preparer", "questions for you accountant", retirement planning, sales tax, keeping track of your money, seasonal cash flow, planning for big purchases, etc.

    Steve Szydel: A CPA, who has served as the President for the Managing Partners Association of Northwestern Mutual since 2019, and their Financial Director since 2005.  Steve began his career spending 15 years in public accounting, followed by 1 ½ years as the Chief Financial Officer for a $30 million multi-state business.  Steve holds a Bachelors of Business Administration as well as a Masters of Science in Taxation, both from UW-M.

    Rebecca Ickes: After successfully building a six-figure photography business in Chicago, Rebecca is now taking the last 11 years worth of knowledge and helping other creative entrepreneurs build not only viable but (more importantly) life-giving businesses and lives.     Andrew Linderman: Studio Potter who has been a working artist for 9 years and self-employed for the past 4 years and has a good working knowledge of mainstream Web-building systems and their accompanying POS systems.

    Join us in Milwaukee's Deer District outside of Fiserv Forum on Aug. 13-14, 2022 for the Morning Glory Art Fair.

    Morning Glory Art Fair returns for its 47th year. Named one of the top art fairs in the Midwest, Milwaukee’s fine juried art and craft show and sale brings together outstanding artists from around the country. This will be the third year on the Plaza in front of Fiserv Forum and also adjacent to the Forum on Juneau Avenue - the heart of Milwaukee’s Deer District.

    The Morning Glory Art Fair showcases art to wear and art for the home in ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, painting, mixed media, photography, wood and more. 

    An artist-friendly show featuring 135 artists, extensive marketing, booth sitters and many more amenities, the Morning Glory Art Fair is presented by Wisconsin Craft, an organization that develops and promotes Craft and the Maker to enhance the cultural life of Wisconsin communities and beyond.

    Join us on October 2 & 3 for the 3rd Annual:

    MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour

    15 Tour Stops around Milwaukee County featuring 42 Wisconsin Craft members. See the working studios of the 15 host artists while also shopping for art and gifts from a large selection of hand crafted items in pottery, jewelry, photography, fiber, wood furniture, sculpture and more.

    Tour Stops will be open from 10AM - 5PM on Saturday and Sunday.

    What will you find at the Morning Glory Art Fair this year on August 14 & 15? We hope it will surprise you!

    Come and visit 140 artist from the region showcasing their latest work in Fiber, Ceramics, Wood, Photography, Sculpture, Glass, Printmaking, Jewelry, Painting and more! Discuss how artists create their work and support them by bringing home a handmade piece or two.  Artists will be spread out along the Deer District Plaza at Fiserv Forum and along Juneau Avenue in Downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    Based on CDC and Milwaukee Health Department guidelines at the time, the art fair will implement appropriate COVID safety protocols if necessary.

    Saturday & Sunday - OCTOBER 2 & 3

    The MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour is a self-guided, open-studio tour showcasing Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council members with studios in Milwaukee  County.  Each studio location will feature the work of the host artists along with several guest artists.

    Attention Artists: If your studio resides in MKE County, please consider applying as a host artist to showcase your work and studio.  If you live outside MKE County, or do not want to host, please apply as a guest artist.

    Important 2021 Dates:

    April 30 - Applications due

    May 15 - Host and Guest Artists matched

    May 20 - 1st $75 payment due (Total participation fee $150)

    Aug 1 - 2nd $75 payment due

    Late Aug - Artist Social (Date tbd, will be held outdoors at Good Hope Island)

    Oct 2&3 - MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour
